For multicultural world music lovers, the WOMADelaide festival is a highlight of the musical calendar in South Australia and across the country. WOMAD brings with it the spirit of celebration, diversity, adventure and inclusion – the same qualities embodied in Nexus Arts’ 2017 Nexus Live program.
Our 2017 program offers a range of genres and performance styles, reflecting the depth and diversity of local and national contemporary music scenes. Our live program highlights an eclectic range of culturally diverse artists across many different genres of music. Be it traditional Persian song, afro beats, Hindustani classical music, hip hop or contemporary art music, the best culturally diverse contemporary music finds its home at Nexus Arts in 2017.
From April to October, Nexus hosts internationally regarded performers such as Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, The Necks and Nhatty Man and Gara (1 July, following their WOMADelaide 2017 performance), alongside the best SA-based artists including Playback 808 (5 August) and Adam Page (2 September). Find the full program on sale now, with Nhatty Man and Gara with Adelaide’s own, Local Revolution, set to shake the Nexus stage next. Don’t forget – you can grab your tickets on the door too.
As we reminisce on what is the favourite time of year for many music lovers, Nexus Arts reminds audiences that the spirit of WOMADelaide continues throughout the year with Nexus Live!
