Marwa Abouzeid – Project Coordinator

Marwa is an artist with a Bachelor of Commerce from Alexandria University in Egypt. In addition to her role at Nexus Arts, she is also the Finance Officer at One Culture Support Services.

She has pursued her passion for the arts by volunteering in various organisations offering drawing, painting and ukulele workshops for children. She received the ‘Walkerville Young Volunteer of the Year 2018 Award’ and the ‘MCCSA Community Quiet Achiever 2020 Award’ for her achievements and contributions to the arts in SA. She is also a member of Campbelltown Art House Committee.

In 2018, Marwa launched her own business, Artvision, focusing on providing art classes to people of all abilities, with the ultimate vision to create an arts hub for people to connect and express themselves freely.

Originally from Egypt, Marwa came to Australia in 2016. Driven by her passion for the advocacy of diversity and inclusion, she was drawn to the exploration of new avenues for the inclusion of culturally and linguistically diverse individuals as well as those with disabilities in the arts through her work with Nexus Arts.
