Feast Festival

Festival began in 1997 and was created by a group of arts and cultural community workers. 2016 marked the 20th Festival of celebrating Pride and Diversity by providing a platform for the LGBTIQ community and allies to share arts and culture with the greater community.  One of 10 major Festivals in South Australia and is the 3rd largest LGBTIQ Festival in the country. Feast is an International event, bringing performers from all over the world.

In 2017 Nexus Arts is lucky enough to play host to some of the most talented performers in the Australian LGBTIQA community.

Fringe Festival 2018

Fringe Festival was born 57 years ago (although they don’t look a day over 25) and they are now Southern Hemisphere’s largest open access arts festival!

The Festival completely take over Adelaide, her surrounding suburbs and even some regional areas of South Australia for 31 magical days and nights each year, at Nexus Arts, we are a dedicated Fringe Venue from 16 February – 18 March.

Nexus Arts follows The Fringe Festival in that we are an open access Venue, which means that we don’t have a curator handpicking shows. Anyone who wants to be a part of the Adelaide Fringe, at Nexus arts can!

With Saturday night DJ’s, shows and the interactive gallery open 9am- 5pm Nexus Arts comes alive and there is sure to be something for you!

Umbrella Winter City Sounds & Guitars in Bars: 

Umbrella Winter City Sounds will be held in July 2018, offering an exciting smorgasbord of curated live music projects and other performances across the Adelaide CBD to warm and illuminate the colder weeks.

We are currently open for artists applications and enquires for 2018.  Please fill out the form located in the side bar or email us at;  [email protected] for any enquires

Partners include the Adelaide City Council, Guitars in Bars with generous funding assistance from the Australia Council, the Australian Hotels Association (SA Branch) And the Music Development Office (MDO) with the South Australian Tourism Commission through the Live Music Events Fund.

OzAsia Festival

During September/October, Nexus Arts Venue will be host to a variety of dance, theatre and music performances as part of OzAsia Festivals SubVerse program – now bigger, bolder and stretching right across each weekend of the festival’s duration.

Nexus Arts & OzAsia Festival present some of the best underground and experimental works from cutting edge of contemporary performance and sits alongside the best local talent from Adelaide.  As well as performances across the Festival, the Nexus Arts Beer Garden will be open for business with a hub of activity every weekend throughout the festival.

Sprit Festival 2018

Spirit Festival is South Australia’s premier Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) Arts and Culture Festival. Held annually, Spirit Festival showcases the best in ATSI art, music, dance, theatre, workshops and more from South Australia and across Australia.

Nexus Arts was proud to be home to Anna Dowling‘s Exhibition and Opening night of; Vision and Voice.  Nexus Arts Venue is also home for Deadly Funny and Spirit Festival comedian Kevin Kropinyeri‘s ALL NEW stand up show for 2017 Sprit Festival.  Keep an eye out for 2018
