Nexus Gallery

The Nexus Gallery showcases emerging and established artists from diverse cultural backgrounds working across a range of mediums in a contemporary context.

You can see our 2018 Exhibitions program on the What’s On page.

Nexus’s curated program presents artists who push the boundaries of contemporary art practice, initiate discourse and debate about cultural diversity through their works, and explore new ways of expressing relevant social issues surrounding multiculturalism in Australia. Nexus develops opportunities for further discussion on the themes explored in each exhibition through workshops, artist talks, and academic writings and reflections. Nexus aligns with many cultural and artistic festivals for greater exposure of artists work.

Twice annually Nexus hosts emerging South Australian artists in residence in the Nexus Studio, accompanied by a solo exhibition at the conclusion of their residency. No other studio space in South Australia is dedicated to the development of emerging contemporary artists from culturally diverse backgrounds, or artists who explore cultural diversity through their practice.
