Emerging Artist Application
Studio Residency (2 Available)

Applications close Tuesday 14th August 2018

Now in its fourth year, the Nexus Arts emerging artist Studio Residency has catered for a number of significant exhibition, creative and professional development outcomes for South Australian emerging artists from culturally diverse backgrounds and/or who’s work engages with culture or cultural diversity.

The Residency gives successful applicants access to a free CBD-located studio space for up to 3 months during which they will be able to develop new work for a significant exhibition. The opportunity is offered twice a year, aligning with two of Adelaide’s esteemed cultural festivals, allowing emerging artists to be supported in developing a significant professional visual arts project and showcase it to a wide audience. At Nexus’ discretion and subject to negotiation, applications may be considered for other times in the year, depending on our own programming and the needs or aspirations of the artist.

Expressions Of Interest
Nexus Visual Arts Program

Applications ongoing

Nexus curates its program yearly, but we welcome proposals at any time from established and emerging artists and curators from any cultural background, working in any art form. Expressions of interest may be submitted to our Visual Arts Program or for Short Notice projects. Although aligning with Nexus Arts’ aspirations to assist artists from culturally diverse backgrounds showcase their work, submitting an expression of interest cannot guarantee an exhibition outcome.
