We’re launching the findings of our Audience Research Project with an exhibition: Home
At Nexus Arts, we strive to foster excellence in contemporary arts by supporting culturally and linguistically diverse and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists with development and presentation opportunities. We believe that art is a vital mechanism for exploring and challenging ideas, and that contemporary arts have an essential role to play in the shaping of our society.
The arts are nothing without our audiences though. So, for the last two years we’ve been undertaking a research project into how we can make sure that Nexus Arts is the most welcoming, inclusive environment that it can be. We plan to share this information throughout the arts sector nationally.
We’re excited to say that we’re now in the final phase of the project and to celebrate the upcoming launch of our Culturally Diverse Audience Development Toolkit, we’re partnering with Campbelltown Arthouse and an inspiring group of Arts Leaders to present an exhibition: Home.
If you are an artist with a culturally diverse background, we invite you to submit work for this upcoming, community-led, intercultural exhibition. Each artist can submit up to 5 artworks of any form and size. Both 2D and 3D artworks will be accepted.
Expressions of interest must be submitted by 30 March 2021. (Successful applicants will be notified by mid-April.)
Where: Home will be hosted by Campbelltown Arthouse
When: 1 – 30 June 2021
