Lazaro Numa Ensemble

Summer Twilight Sessions // An hour of beautiful music to ease you through the working week.

Featuring acclaimed Australian artists, these captivating performances will explore contemporary takes on traditional music. Experience the sounds and traditions of Cuba, South Asia and Iran in these three unique, yet beautifully aligned, musical offerings.

Lazaro Numa Ensemble

The Lazaro Numa Ensemble brings the sound from the streets of old Havana, with a modern twist. Lazaro’s original music will take you back to the era of the great Benny Moré, Bebo Valdes and Felix Chappottín when the cars were big, and the cigars even bigger.

With an invigorating mix of different genres of traditional Cuban music from Danzón to Son, Mambo to Cha Cha Cha, audiences will be taken on a Cuban musical journey that will bring them to their feet to dance to the enchanting rhythms. Lazaro’s music has been inspired by his experiences of living away from his home of Cuba, and his desire to maintain a strong connection with his roots.
