HALFTONES revisits an archive of screen printed posters from 1985 and 1986, originally created at Nexus Arts as part of a free community arts project led by Eugenia and Andrew Hill.
The posters celebrate and recount the experiences of migrants that came to South Australia in the 20th Century, particularly those from across Europe in the wake of World War II.
Responding to these posters, three contemporary artists have created new works that reflect on their own experiences of migration as either migrants themselves, or as children or grand children of migrants.
