Join exhibiting artist Makeda Duong in conversation with Lizzy Emery, taking place amongst the artworks comprising Mixed Race Female.
Informed by the history of gender relations in the western world, Makeda Duong’s practice attempts to unpick the dominant cultural narratives surrounding representations of race, mental health, and the experience of contemporary womanhood.
This conversation with her friend, fellow artist and writer, Lizzy Emery, will explore the exhibition’s themes and unravel the artist’s relationship with her practice and Australian culture.
Join us for this free event, but please RSVP as numbers are limited due to COVID-19 restrictions. Email us at [email protected] to let us know you’ll be attending.
