Join textile and fibre artist Pat Ingram for a free workshop creating birds from recycled materials. As part of her solo exhibition ‘Paika‘ (Bay-ga), meaning ‘to rise up‘ or ‘in flight‘, Pat will be teaching participants to create their own small bird sculpture from discarded materials including old fishing nets, old rope fibres, and wire from electrical cables. Relax and create, surrounded by Pat’s stunning artworks which explore her passion for birds. Materials will be provided but participants are welcome to bring their own discarded textiles to add to their birds. Participants will leave with a small bird sculpture to take home and complete.
This workshop will be held on the 8th of July, 2025 from 1pm to 4pm at the Nexus Arts Gallery.
Nexus Arts Gallery is open Tuesday-Friday 10am – 4pm.
