Cultivate @ Nexus Arts Performance Residency is presented in collaboration with Adelaide Fringe as part of their Arts Industry Collaboration Program.
This residency aims to foster experimentation and creation in culturally diverse and intercultural artistic practice. This residency offers a co-collaborative residency and mentorship between an emerging artist, a mid-career artist and Nexus Arts. The two selected performing artists will get a 4 week access to Nexus Arts, to progress a new development each to present at Adelaide Fringe 2027.
This 2027 Arts Industry Collaboration project will provide 2 supported residencies, with recipients selected through a competitive, open-call application process.
The Cultivate x Nexus Residency will include:
● 4 week development residency in 2 x 2-week blocks at Nexus Arts
● Pre-season Industry Work in Progress Showing following the initial 2-week residency block
● Artist Fees of $5000.00 (plus 12% superannuation)
● Mentoring sessions for emerging artist with Mid-Career Artist and Nexus Arts (approx. 4 sessions) valued at $2000.00
● FOH, Tech & Venue Hire for 3 shows valued at $5000.00
● In-Kind Marketing to the value of $1000.00 per artist
●Adelaide Fringe 2027 season (min. 3 shows per artist)
● Artists will receive a minimum of 100% of the box office income for their 2027 Adelaide Fringe Show.
