Celebrating the artistry of Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks and Kate Bush
Musefest pays homage to three modern-day musical goddesses – Joni Mitchell, Stevie Nicks and Kate Bush, in three separate shows performed twice over the weekend of September 2 and 3.
A Case of You: The Music of Joni Mitchell
Cabaret songbird and storyteller Deborah Brennan performs a love letter to one of the Woodstock era’s most inspiring singer-songwriter. Supported by her stunning three-piece band, she cleverly crafts Mitchell’s songbook into a memorable soundtrack of her own life, wrapped in a contemporary story of free-spirited travel, love and reflection.
Session times:
Saturday 2 September, 2.30-4pm
Sunday 3 September, 4.30-6.00pm
Wild Heart: The Life of Stevie Nicks
Adelaide powerhouse singer Emma Gordon-Smith and her slick six-piece band set the room on fire as they explore the life of rock’n’roll mystic poet, Stevie Nicks.
Emma delivers an uncanny portrayal of Nicks, as she delves into the dreams and nightmares of the songstress gypsy.
Saturday 2 September, 5-6.00pm
Sunday 3 September, 7.00-8.00pm
A Deal with God: The Songs of Kate Bush
A Deal With Godfeatures ethereal Welsh vocalist and harpist, Siobhan Owen, supported by vocalists and an outstanding six-piece band. Hear all of Kate’s greatest hits – plus a few of her lesser-known masterpieces.
Saturday 2 September, 7.30-9pm
Sunday 3 September, 2.00-3:30pm
