Join us to celebrate the spirit of Nowruz and the unwavering strength within us all
Join us for an unforgettable celebration of Nowruz, the Persian New Year, with Arta Cultural’s special presentation: “Resistance is Life.” Taking place on March 24, 2024, at Nexus Art, this unique event promises an evening filled with cultural richness and artistic diversity.
The festivities will commence with a captivating theatre performance, setting the stage for an immersive journey into the heart of Iranian culture. As the evening unfolds, immerse yourself in the enchanting melodies of Persian music, transporting you to the bustling bazaars and ancient alleyways of Iran.
Adding to the mosaic of sounds and rhythms, we are thrilled to announce that a talented young Iranian-Australian music group will be gracing the stage, bringing their unique blend of traditional and contemporary influences to the forefront.
Additionally, we are honored to welcome a talented Turkish singer and musician, whose soul-stirring performance will further illuminate the universal themes of resilience and hope.
But the celebration doesn’t stop there. Australian musicians will also showcase their talents, offering their own interpretations and contributions to the cultural tapestry, showcasing the harmonious fusion of diverse musical traditions.
From traditional melodies to contemporary expressions, “Resistance is Life” promises to be an evening of inspiration, unity, and celebration. Join us as we come together to honor tradition, embrace diversity, and usher in the spirit of renewal and rebirth with open hearts and open minds.
Nowruz means “new day” in the Farsi language, and the celebration marks the beginning of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. Nowruz is the beginning of the year in many countries including Iran and Afghanistan. The message of Nowruz is life, love, and rebirth, and brings together people from different cultures, ethnicities, beliefs, and languages.
